Show Me The…Budget?

Oh the weather outside is frightful…

Sadly, it isn’t Christmas.  However, I would have much preferred to see snow in December than in March.  In March, the sun should be shining, birds should be chirping and we should be making green beer not throwing salt on the sidewalk!

After overspending in the month of February and slightly dipping into the safety account, I decided to go over all of my transactions for the month and budget.  Its a snow day, perfect time to get your life in order…or so I thought.

What a horrible, horrible wine inducing idea.  Some people seem to thrive on budgets and knowing money coming in and pennies going out.  I am not one of those people.  To me even saying the word budget makes me feel like the air is slowly getting sucked out of the tiny little cage I’m trapped in.  I liken it to a slow and painful death.

But for the purposes of growth and self progression I’ve decided to share with the world how I spend my spending money on:

TaxesGraph

 Dining Out/Shopping                  Groceries/Household                     Starbucks

At least Starbucks was only 5%… right??

I think we can all agree that if I move the grocery money to the eating out money the problem would be solved!?!

Being the proactive adult that I am, I have created a well balanced budget for March and feel good about my money prospects in the future.  It’s a nasty thing to be in the real world and have to worry about your dollar but at the end of the day you do what you have to do.

This year I’m taking control of my finances (again) to make sure that 2015 is the year for saving big money, not spending it.

And since I’ve pretty much already gone through my Dining Out budget for March, I will see you in April while I enjoy my Ramen in my folding chair next to a box of Franzia.  Cheers!
